Earn credit for your military experience and kickstart your new career with a baccalaureate degree in nursing

GW Nursing has a strong veteran community that turns out some of our best and brightest graduates. If you're currently on active duty, a reservist, or a veteran of the armed forces, you can transition to a purposeful new career with a bachelor of science in nursing (B.S.N.) degree from GW Nursing. Through our veterans B.S.N. program, you can receive academic credit for your military training and experience, earn a degree, and study alongside other veterans who are determined to enter a new career full of challenges, meaning, and service.

Located at our Virginia Science and Technology Campus in Ashburn, Virginia, this in-person program is a second-degree option and only takes four consecutive semesters to complete. GW is a Yellow Ribbon Program university that provides extensive services to its veteran community.

"The student affairs team genuinely seemed to care about helping me succeed. They provided step-by-step guidance on the admissions process and made me feel welcomed rather than like just another applicant."
